WHO: Ballet Folklorico México Lindo
WHAT: Traditional Mexican Folkloric Dancing
WHEN:
Adult II Dance Class: This is an introductory class for adults wishing to try out and learn Ballet Folklorico. Class is one hour each week and meets on Mondays at the studio. No experience is necessary. Come join the fun! Mondays @ 9:00 AM.
Beginner Class: This is for the children who'd like to learn beginner dances and who may/may not have previous Folklorico experience. Female dancers will learn basic steps and skirt work. Boys will learn body posture and basic steps. No experience necessary. Dancers at this level may perform at a later date. Class meets Mondays @ 6:30 PM at the studio. Class is one hour in length and meets once each week.
Beginner II Class: This is a more advanced beginner class and is by invitation only. Dancers at this level will perform regularly and be taught more introductory dances.

WHY: To learn cultural dancing, for a great cardio-vascular workout, to meet new friends
and share Mexican culture!

Details for Group Membership and Tuition: Adult dance tuition is $25, youth tuition, $35.
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month with an allowable grace period.
There is a $30 NSF fee if your check is returned.

Tuition includes all practices and performances, regular e-mail updates and parent
meetings. Dancers are responsible for their own costumes, accessories and dance
supplies, with no cost until they are ready for formal performance, at which time
Director will inform both parent and dancer in advance.

Private and Semi-Private lessons are available to all dancers. Topics covered can
include faldeo (skirt work), solo numbers, posture, choreography, dance step revisions,
and/or make-up technique.

ETC.: Folklorico shoes are strongly encouraged at all performances and practices.
New dancers without Folklorico shoes may either borrow a pair from the studio until
theirs are purchased, or they may wear a closed-toe, low heeled shoe for practice.
Character shoes are also acceptable.

Rules for Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo are simple:
1. No gum.
2. No jeans to dance class.
3. No hair in your face.
4. Have what you need.
